In response to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation's request for cooperation, the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) conducted an investigation and found that Mr Medvedev, 31, was in Bangkok, the source said. Over the past six years, Mr Medvedev had left and re-entered Thailand several times and had spent the last year living with his Thai wife, the source said. The US claimed that Mr Medvedev was a co-founder of the site and No.2 in its hierarchy. Members could buy and sell card and personal data for use to buy goods on the internet, defrauding the card owners, card issuers and vendors. Infraud operated automated vending sites to make it easy for someone to buy card and identity data from them.
